Alvin (Alvin and the Chipmunks) - Kelloggs Rice Krispies mask (1990) - backside

In 1990, Kellogg’s partnered with NBC to promote Alvin and the Chipmunks—then enjoying a strong revival with their Saturday morning cartoon—by printing a series of three cut-out masks on the backs of Rice Krispies cereal boxes. Kids could cut and wear Alvin, Simon, or Theodore, making breakfast a collectible event.

This example features Alvin, the mischievous, red-capped leader of the Chipmunks. His wide-eyed, animated face was designed to appeal to fans of the show and encourage kids to collect all three characters.
