Rare promotional brochure for Chesterfield Cigarettes’ radio program led by jazz legend Paul Whiteman, known as The King of Jazz. Shaped like Whiteman’s head, the cover doubles as a whimsical cut-out mask, blending advertising and novelty.

Inside are black-and-blue printed features on Whiteman and his ensemble, including Joan Edwards, Clark Dennis, the Modernaires, Roy Bargy, Charlie Teagarden, Sax Soc-Tette, Goldie Goldstein, and Paul Douglas.

An unusual survivor from the golden age of radio and tobacco advertising, merging celebrity culture with ephemera in true 1930s style.
