Richard Dix - RKO Radio Pictures - Einson Freeman Co. (Par-T-Mask) Mask (1933)

$795.00

An attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find 1933 Par-T-Mask featuring RKO film star Richard Dix, produced by the renowned Einson-Freeman Company of Long Island City, New York.

Issued as part of Einson-Freeman's celebrity mask line, this lithographed paper mask captures one of Hollywood's most recognizable leading men of the early sound era. Richard Dix was a major RKO star, remembered for films such as Cimarron (1931) and The Lost Squadron (1932), and his likeness was selected for promotional masks distributed during the golden age of movie-palace advertising.

Unlike the company's more commonly encountered comic-strip characters, celebrity masks from this series surface only occasionally. The vivid portrait artwork, realistic shading, and distinctive Par-T-Mask construction make these among the most desirable examples of early 1930s paper mask design.

Condition is excellent, retaining strong original color and crisp detail. Reverse is marked with the original Einson-Freeman manufacturer information and RKO Pictures designation. Eye openings and nose cut remain unaltered.

Measures approximately 8.5" x 10".
Rarity: 4/5 – Scarce
Richard Dix masks are encountered infrequently compared to many other surviving celebrity and comic-character masks of the era.
