Buzz Huckleberry - Kelloggs Corn Flakes Hanna Barbara mask (1961) - cutout

$40.00

This “Buzz Huckleberry” mask was issued in 1961 as part of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes cereal promotion featuring Hanna-Barbera’s popular television characters. Depicting Huck in aviator goggles and helmet, this design captured the mid-century fascination with aviation and adventure, while continuing Kellogg’s tradition of merging Saturday morning cartoon stars with breakfast table fun.

By 1961, Huckleberry Hound had already achieved iconic status, thanks to the Emmy Award–winning Huckleberry Hound Show. Sponsored by Kellogg’s, the program cemented the brand’s association with beloved animated characters. The mask series was one of Kellogg’s most memorable marketing campaigns of the early 1960s, allowing children to “wear” their favorite cartoon heroes.

This cutout measures 8.5 x 8.5 inches and features bright litho printing. While many were quickly cut out and worn to pieces, surviving examples remain highly collectible. Huck’s “Buzz” persona is one of the more playful and less commonly seen variations from the set.
