Howdy Doody - Kelloggs Rice Krispies mask (1954) - backside

$150.00

Straight from the golden age of television and the breakfast table comes this Howdy Doody mask, printed on the back panel of a Kellogg’s Rice Krispies box in 1954.

By the mid-1950s, Howdy Doody was one of the most beloved children’s characters in America, starring in NBC’s hit show The Howdy Doody Show (1947–1960). Kellogg’s, one of the first major brands to embrace television tie-ins, cleverly used his popularity to promote cereals like Rice Krispies and Corn Flakes. Kids could cut out the mask, punch holes for string, and bring Buffalo Bob’s freckled friend to life right at the breakfast table.
