Trix (The Rabbit) - General Mills Corn Kix Animal Carnival Cereal mask (1960s) - backside
This scarce Trix Rabbit mask comes from the General Mills “Animal Carnival” series, a short-lived promotion printed on the backs of Corn Kix cereal boxes in the early 1960s. Long before the Trix Rabbit became the mischievous cartoon mascot we know today, he appeared in this simpler, playful design—part of a lineup of animal masks children could cut out and wear straight from the cereal box.
The “Animal Carnival” set is notable because it bridged the branding between Corn Kix and the newly emerging Trix cereal line, with the rabbit image helping to transition consumer recognition toward the soon-to-be iconic Trix Rabbit. Few examples of this mask survive today in full-panel form.
