Popeye Funny Face Maker with 6 masks - Jaymar Paper Mask Lot (1962) with original box!

$250.00

Issued in 1962 by Jaymar Specialty Company, this colorful Popeye Funny Face Maker set is one of the most playful paper mask kits of the early 1960s. The set includes six character masks featuring Popeye and his iconic crew: Olive Oyl, Swee’Pea, Wimpy, Brutus, and Sappo, along with the large Popeye “Funny Face Maker” display. Children could mix and match to create silly “funny faces,” making this both a plaything and a promotional collectible.

Jaymar was known for producing licensed toys and puzzles, and this set captures the peak of Popeye’s popularity on television in the early ’60s. Surviving examples are rare, especially complete with all masks and the original illustrated box, which features bold, mid-century artwork of Popeye himself.

The box measures approx. 23 inches by 11 inches. Masks remain bright and display beautifully, with the box showing only light wear consistent with age.
