Ronald McDonald - McDonalds Restaurant mask (1968)

This colorful Ronald McDonald paper mask dates to 1968, right at the dawn of Ronald’s transformation into the golden arches’ world-famous mascot. By the late 1960s, McDonald’s was expanding rapidly across the U.S., and Ronald became the face of the brand, appearing in commercials, print advertising, store openings, and promotional giveaways like this one.

The mask is lithographed on heavy cardstock, brightly printed with Ronald’s signature orange hair, red nose, wide smile, and yellow clown collar.
